Getting to Brixham

Whats New

By Road:
From the North and East
1 Head for Exeter and go past it on the M5 heading towards Plymouth & Cornwall
2 At the end of the motorway continue on until the road splits - take the lefthand route up the hill
3 At the big Pen Inn roundabout go straight across
4 At the next roundabout go right, up the hill (straight on takes you into Torquay)
5 Go across the next three roundabouts
6 At the major road junction with traffic lights go straight on and up the hill towards Brixham (left is to Paignton, right to Totnes)
7 Follow the road towards Brixham. From the point marked x on the map (the traffic lights at Sainsburys) there is a video of the route
8 On the outskirts of Brixham there are some traffic lights with a "always green" left filter. Go right.
9 At the top of the hill is a mini-roundabout. Go left and follow the road.
10 At the traffic lights after the Burton Hotel go straight on up the hill opposite
11 The Rugby Club is at the top of the hill
If you mistakenly go right at 8 (above) go straight down the road to the town centre. At the traffic lights go right up Bolton Street. After c.400 yards later you will come to another set of lights. Go left up the hill; The Rugby Club is at the top

From the West

1 Head up the A38 from Plymouth
2 Take the A385 to Totnes and Paignton
3 Go through/past Totnes following signs for Paignton
4 At the major road junction with traffic lights go right, up the hill towards Brixham, (straight on is to Paignton)
5 as 7 onwards above

By Rail:
The nearest railway stations are at Paignton & Totnes. There is no good bus link from Totnes. From Paignton Station cross the road to the Bus Station and catch a No 12 bus to Brixham centre. The Rugby Club is within walking distance of the town centre (see the notes in italics above) or there is a taxi-rank close to the Bus Station

By Bus:
The No 12 service runs regularly between Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton & Brixham
