TO ALL PARENTS / GUARDIANS
SUNDAY MORNINGS

The main clubhouse will not open until 9.45 at the earliest on a Sunday morning. Would all parents please note children being dropped off at the gates before this time will not be supervised. The only time that we would expect any one to be at the ground earlier is in the case of away matches by prior arrangement with the team coaches.
Please Do Not Drop Off or Allow Your Child to be in the grounds of the club before 9.45am. Thank you

ROPING OFF OF PITCHES
It is now part of our policy that we rope off all pitches. We ask parents and spectators to ensure that they stand behind these barriers. Thank you

BRIXHAM YOUTH SPONSOR 1ST TEAM
On Saturday 11th September we are sponsoring the First team game against Avonmouth Old Boys. We would welcome all parents to this family day and will offer discounted entry into the ground for this match . During half time we will parade ALL our players in front of the supporters to show off our new club rugby shirts. Entertainment will follow after the game in the club house.

NEW KIT FOR NEW SEASON
We looked at a number of designs for our new youth kit and we have chosen a Kooga Shirt with our own design. This will be available for the new season.

SOCIAL
Shane Robinson is the Social Secretary. Various events are being planned for all ages during the season. Please watch the notice board, newsletters and flyers for these events.

NEW PITCH
During the close season we have been busy in creating a new mini pitch on the Top Astley Park ground. We hope to have this seeded in time for the new season and this will give us a training pitch and much needed pitch for our under 7s and 8s teams.

BOOT / CLOTHING SWAP
We have a selection of second hand boots available in the youth room for players to swap once they have grown out of them. There are various sizes available and we would encourage parents not to throw boots away but to donate them for other players .
Could we please ask that the boots / clothing are cleaned before donating!!

COURSES
During the summer months we have had a number of coaches who have attended both coaching and referees courses. If you feel that you have time to help with one of our teams and would like to be considered for one of the recognised courses then please speak to James Onslow our Director of Rugby.

POLITE REMINDER
The coaches of the teams will be responsible for the children before and during matches. Once games have been completed and players have changed and had something to eat it is then the responsibility of parent /carers to collect their children . Brixham Youth RFC is not a crèche and coaches cannot be expected to act as child minders outside the rugby environment.

CLUB SHOP

It is our intention to put all our clothing onto a website where you can order directly from our supplier - Kitworld.
Click here to go to the Shop page

CRB CHECKS
Any person that helps out on a weekly basis in any way with any team must have a Criminal Record Bureau check. These forms are available from Rachel Smith and must be completed as soon as possible. It would also be good if parents that are transporting other players to matches were checked as well. Details from Rachel .

CHANGING ROOMS / CRB PERSONEL
PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY CRB CHECKED PERSONEL ARE ALLOWED IN THE CHANGING ROOMS.
Please do not be offended if you are asked to leave this area if you are not CRB registered!!!

THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Devon RFU have instructed All referees to clamp down on discipline on and off the field. They will also not tolerate bad language and backchat from players. We have asked all coaches and helpers to help Brixham RFC to eliminate this from the game.
Players - youu have been warned that you could face disciplinary action if caught using bad language.

ADULT MEMBERSHIP
Please note that adults using the club after games should also become members
We would hate for you to be offended when refused a drink at the bar !!!!!!!!
The club rules state that adults waiting for children to change after a game/training UNLESS members are not entitled to purchase drinks from the bar however hot drinks/food may be purchased from the kitchen. The new membership cards entitle you to cheaper beer … so its worth paying the membership!!

YOUTH MEMBERSHIP
The costs of running the youth side of the club has increased over the years especially the cost of food, coaching courses etc. and with this in mind we need hold the membership fee at £25 a for the year. We are the only club in Devon that does not charge weekly subs on top of the membership fees. This fee would take care of both the membership and yearly subs.
Subs are due now and all players must be members

FUNCTION ROOMS FOR HIRE
Did you know that our functions rooms can be hired out for Christenings, Weddings, Parties ,
Discos, Birthdays, Funerals etc.
Full paying Adult Club Members will receive a discount when they book.
For further details please contact the Bars Manager Peter Cox 01803 882162

It's a community club…..why not use it more often!!!
