From the President....

Last season on the field was nor one we would like to reflect back on. But we must now look to the future and get behind the rugby and coaching management teams and support them to achieve the goals set.

I must also on your behalf thank the Rugby Foorball Union and Devon Rugby Football Union in supporting and granting the sums required to carry out the building of the new dressing rooms.
Your chairman Chris Forster who despite his high profile job in Bristol has made the long journey home at short notice to attend meetings and make decisions and to the Development Sub Committee who have been outstanding pushing the project forward.

J D lrvine, President

From the Chairman....

Once again it gives me great pleasure in welcoming you all to Astley Park the home of the "Fishermen", Bnxham Rugby Club

As we start another new season we are looking forward to a very successful one both on and of the park. We start the season with new facilities in the way of new dressing rooms and downstairs kitchen, also an enhanced
lounge area. This has been made possible by a large grant from the Rugby Football Foundation Fund, a loan from the Rugby Football Union and a substantial amount of our own funds This will make a huge difference and is a great addition to our club I would personally like to thank Ray Gardner, Mike Brizio, Barry Thomas and all others that have contributed to achieving this new development Also to the 10 members of our club who have been prepared to stand as Guarantor for the loan, we are very grateful. We have also been able to replace the roof and improve the players dining room during the closed season The youth section of the club have also paid for the flood lights to be replaced on the main pitch and for this as a dub would like to thank the youth and all those who supported their fund raising efforts For me this shows that as a club we are moving forward on and off the field; also that we are a true community club with all ages welcome

I would like to thank those members of the committee who stood down at the end of last season and wish them all the best and look forward to them becoming involved again in the future. On the field last year was not as successful as we would all have wanted, however we did see many of our younger players grow in to mature first team players This year we have a new coaching team on board under the direction of Roger Hutchinson, this together with new players being signed and old faces returning we look forward to a stronger and more successful season ahead

Let's go in ro this season with encouragement, excitment and expectation that this will be OUR year of GREAT SUCCESS

Chris Forster, Club Chairman
