The first half of the match saw Brixham under a lot of pressure, and despite some good tackling they soon found themselves behind. Brixham had some early chances, but lost the ball in a few tackles, and by half time they were 3-0 down.
The second half saw Devonport bring on their substitutes. Brixham started very briskly, with Toby Goatman running in a try in the corner. There followed a prolonged period of Brixham pressure, which unfortunately saw a couple of excellent moves ending right on the line. An excellent flowing move from Brixham finished with Charlie Lambert scoring a well earned try. Just as it seemed Brixham could get back to equality, Devonport stormed down the line and scored to make it 4-2. With time running out, Faye Robinson produced a great solo run to cross in the corner. Sadly there was time for only one more short play, with Brixham unlucky to lose the match 4-3.
